A set of 3D printed axes for German equipment of the Second World War in 1:35 scale. It completes the external fit of a model and the equipment of a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
An axe was among the basic tools that German military vehicles carried fixed on the outside, on the bed or on a fender. On a model it is a small thing, but one that decides a great deal: the parts from a kit tend to be simplified and often blend into the surface they are molded onto. A separately made axe has a thin blade and a slender handle and can be placed wherever you need it, including loose in a diorama, on a box or in the hand of a figure.
Four printed parts in 1:35 scale, complemented by photo-etched elements. The parts were made by direct 3D printing, so they are held on thin print supports that are cut away before building. The exact identification of the individual parts and their placing are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully with fine paper; with the thin handle work bit by bit, as it breaks easily. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, so that no print resin residue clings to them. They are not made of polystyrene, so they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the photo-etched elements out of the carrier fret with a blade and bend them on the edge of a ruler. When painting, separate the metal blade from the wooden handle; the blade comes out best in a dark metallic shade with a hint of wear on the edge, and the handle in a lighter wood tone.
The model of the vehicle, figures, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
