1:72 Home equipment is a set of household equipment for dioramas, that is accessory props for domestic interiors.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of household props for builders of scenes in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of hardware but scene equipment: objects commonly found in a dwelling, which in a diorama give the space a civilian dimension. They are placed in interiors, in yards or among things carried outside during a move.
They work most strongly where a living space is open to the scene. A ruined house with an exposed room, a cellar, a shed or a pile of furniture by a wall looks empty without small equipment. A viewer reads scale from the things they know from everyday life, which is why a few recognizable objects do more for credibility than another meter of terrain.
Small objects take surprisingly strong contrast. Spray the base with an airbrush, let a dark wash run into the joints and bring out the edges with a dry brush. Variety is the key: a matched palette looks like a shop window, whereas three or four mismatched shades bring a real household to mind at once. Finally unify the sheen with a matte varnish so that the highlights do not fight with the surroundings.
Work with objects this small goes smoothly with tweezers and with the bench well lit.
