This resin set of figures from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel brings the characters of civilians into 1:35 scale. It is precisely civilians who tend to be what turns a parade of equipment into a scene from life, and Plusmodel has devoted itself to figures and diorama accessories for a long time and with a feeling for detail.
Military equipment is on its own only a machine; it is the people around it that create the story. Civilian characters, the inhabitants of the towns and villages through which armies and everyday life alike passed, give a scene emotion and context: they look on, they hurry, they carry luggage, they deal with soldiers. At the same time they work as a scale reference, thanks to which the viewer perceives the real size of the buildings and vehicles at once. The set will find a use in a wartime diorama as well as in a purely civilian vignette.
Wash the figures free of the remains of the mold release agent, remove the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. After the base color, start with the face and the hands, as the overall impression stands on them. Paint the clothing of the civilians in muted, mutually harmonized shades, deepen the folds with a wash and bring the edges out with drybrushing or fine lightening. A matte varnish at the end evens the surface out.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
