French Kieffer commando on the march No. 8 (1:35) is a detailed resin figure of a marching member of the Free French commandos from the period of the Normandy landings. It calls for assembly and painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single resin figure in 1:35 scale from the French brand Dynamo-Models capturing a soldier of the Free French commandos in a marching pose. The model is digitally designed and cast in quality resin with sharp detail on the uniform, the equipment and the weapons. The package contains one unglued and unpainted figure, and in this range alternative heads are usually included, a beret or a helmet.
The commando under the command of Philippe Kieffer formed the only French ground unit that landed on Sword Beach on 6 June 1944 as part of No. 4 Commando. These volunteers went down in history as a symbol of French participation in the liberation of their own country. The figure is typical for its battledress uniform and British infantry equipment.
First wash any mold release agent residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and glue them together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. For a realistic look to the uniform, an airbrush for the base tones works well, followed by washes into the folds and dry brushing to pick the detail out; the face calls for subtle shading of the skin.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
