This injection-molded plastic kit captures the British light tracked reconnaissance vehicle FV107 Scimitar of the CVR(T) family. The model in 1:35 scale from AFV Club contains photo-etched sheet, a metal barrel and decals besides the plastic parts.
The CVR(T) (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance, Tracked) is a family of light British tracked vehicles with aluminum armor and high mobility. The FV107 Scimitar carried a 30 mm rapid-fire cannon in a rotating turret and was intended for reconnaissance. Vehicles of this family served with the British Army and with other users for several decades.
The low silhouette and the turret with its cannon come out well with careful fitting; glue both the metal barrel and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Join the plastic with a thin modeling cement, apply a base coat (primer) and spray the shades with an airbrush. Finish the surface with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
