This is an injection molded plastic kit of the German 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun with a set of figures of a winter crew in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Border Model. According to the manufacturer's data the kit contains an aluminum gun barrel, photo-etched parts, three types of muzzle brake, three variants of wheels and accessories with ammunition. Figures of artillerymen in winter clothing are included.
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was one of the most effective and most widespread German anti-tank guns of the Second World War. It entered service in 1942 and became the mainstay of the German anti-tank defense on every front, especially against the well armored tanks in the east.
Degrease the metal gun barrel and treat it with metal primer so that the paint holds; glue the plastic parts with thin cement and the metal with super glue. Spray the gun over primer and accentuate the metal parts with graphite and washes. Paint the figures of the crew separately; work the faces and the winter equipment up with shades and glazes. Snow and mud created with pigments and modeling paste will complete the scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
