An injection-molded plastic set of figures in 1:35 scale from the range devoted to the Second World War, from Master Box. The set captures German infantrymen in western Europe in the closing years of the war (1944-1945), some of them in camouflage smocks. It is intended to be assembled and painted; it is not a model of a vehicle but a set of characters for dioramas and display-case scenes.
In 1944-1945 the German infantry was falling back on the Western Front under the pressure of the Allied advance after the landings in Normandy. Camouflage smocks and Zeltbahn shelter capes are typical of this period and suit the more demanding camouflage schemes when painting. The set gives a strong basis for a scene from the fighting in western Europe.
This is an injection-molded plastic set to be assembled and painted. Separate the parts from the sprue with sharp side nippers and glue them with thin cement for plastic applied with a brush, which draws the joints together nicely. Before painting it pays to spray on a basic primer so that the paint holds better. The faces and the uniforms stand out after painting with a subtle emphasis by a wash and a dry brush; an airbrush as well as a classic brush suits. The characters can be used together as a scene or separately in a diorama.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
