Injection-molded plastic kit of the German light off-road vehicle Kübelwagen Type 82 in 1:35 scale by the Japanese brand Tamiya. The package also includes a figure of a seated driver. The model faithfully captures the characteristic pressed body, the axles and running gear, and interior details including the dashboard and pedals. All four doors can be built open or closed.
The Kübelwagen Type 82 was a light, simple and remarkably reliable off-road vehicle derived from the design of the Volkswagen Beetle. It served the German army on every front, from the deserts of Africa to the frozen Eastern Front, carrying personnel and acting as a liaison and staff vehicle. Its light weight and air-cooled engine let it cope even with difficult terrain. By the end of the war around 51000 had been built in several variants.
Join the parts with a thin liquid cement for plastic. Finish and paint the interior before closing up the body, and carefully fit the axles to the running gear. We recommend applying a primer coat and painting with an airbrush; after the base color, bring the surface to life with a wash settling into recesses and dust and mud pigments on the chassis and fenders. Paint the driver figure separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
