A set of four injection-molded plastic figures in 1:35 scale from Tamiya, showing members of a German panzer division on frontline reconnaissance. The figures are captured in natural poses suitable for placing in and around light vehicles such as the Kübelwagen or the Schwimmwagen. A period signpost is usually included as additional decoration for building a diorama. It is an accessory for vehicles and scenes, not a stand-alone vehicle model.
The reconnaissance and signals units of panzer divisions took care of finding out the situation quickly ahead of the main force. They moved in light cross-country vehicles and their equipment matched rapid movement at the front. The set captures the typical attitudes of such a party: a commanding figure, a driver, a soldier pointing and another crew member.
Separate the parts from the sprue with a sharp knife and clean up the parting lines. Secure the figures with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend assembling and painting the torso, the heads and the arms separately, so that you can reach into the folds of the uniforms more easily. For the face, working from a base flesh tone through shadows to highlights works well; a fine wash into the folds and drybrushing on the edges will bring the uniforms to life.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the vehicle are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
