A set of classic waterslide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. It brings tactical numbers, crosses and markings for the German vehicles used in the fighting in Hungary in 1945, among them the Jagdpanzer IV L/70 tank destroyer, the Panther Ausf G medium tank and the StuG III assault gun. It is not a kit but an accessory for finishing a model faithfully.
At the close of the war, extensive tank fighting took place in Hungary, among other places for Budapest and during Operation Frühlingserwachen near Lake Balaton. The German units put a varied range of late-war vehicles into action there: the fast, low Jagdpanzer IV L/70 tank destroyer with its long gun, Panther medium tanks and the proven StuG III assault guns. The camouflage and the markings reflect improvised field conditions.
Coat the surface under the decal with a gloss varnish so that the marking takes without silvering. Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water, slide it onto the model and settle it with a decal softener. Finally coat it with a matte varnish and blend it in with the patina, dust and mud effects of the late war.
This is a standalone set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
