The abbreviation LRDG stands for the British desert reconnaissance and raiding unit, the Long Range Desert Group, which operated in North Africa during the Second World War. Its lightly armored patrol vehicles were heavily armed with machine guns and other weapons for raids into the enemy rear. The set captures the typical armament of those vehicles.
