An injection-molded plastic kit from I Love Kit in 1:35 scale, capturing the modern American M1278A1 Heavy Guns Carrier armored tactical vehicle of the JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) family. The exact number of parts, the decal schemes and the particular subversion of the weapon station are not stated here as certain; the binding source is the instructions in the package.
The JLTV is a modern American family of light armored tactical vehicles which is replacing the older Humvee in the armed forces where better ballistic and mine protection is needed. The M1278 Heavy Guns Carrier variant is a four-door general-purpose vehicle with a reinforced roof weapon station. The M1278A1 rendition is a newer subversion of this family. The vehicle combines high mobility, modern crew protection and the ability to carry heavy weapons, which makes it a typical representative of present-day ground equipment.
Use liquid cement for plastic; glue the fine parts of the weapon station and the interior carefully. Assemble and paint the chassis and the interior before you close the hull. Apply a primer and then the basic camouflage with an airbrush (typically sand or NATO shades). With modern equipment choose more restrained weathering: fine dust on the wheels and the underside, discreet washes into the pressings, no exaggerated rusting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
