An add-on set in 1:35 scale with the French MAC 31 machine gun, meant to complete a vehicle model or a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MAC 31 is a French machine gun of 7.5 mm caliber brought into service in the early 1930s. It was not created for infantry in the field but for armored vehicles and for permanent fortifications, and its form reflects that: a short barrel in a ball mount and a conspicuous flat drum magazine set on the side of the weapon. It is the magazine that identifies the weapon on a model at a glance, and it is also the reason why the plastic parts from kits are so often replaced in this detail.
It is an add-on set, that is, a weapon on its own in 1:35 scale, not a vehicle kit. How many pieces the package contains, what material the parts are made of and whether other small items go with them are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed. The set suits completing a model of French equipment or a fortification work, and it serves just as well as a telling feature in a diorama.
Handle the parts with tweezers and work over a tray with a raised edge, as a small weapon is easily lost. Cut the excess material away with a fresh sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off carefully; cutting right up against the part usually tears an edge away. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the paint will not hold on the surface. The suitable glue and the exact preparation procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions; the barrel and the magazine have fine edges that will take only a light sanding.
An add-on set is supplied. The vehicle model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
