This set from Voyager Model is a basic brass photo-etched detail set for a model of the modern Russian T-90 main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It holds fine photo-etched parts for the most visible areas of the model, such as the engine deck grilles, the fenders, equipment brackets, tie-down loops and other small items. It is not a kit of the tank but an accessory for a base model.
The T-90 is a modern Russian main battle tank that grew out of the development line of the T-72 tanks. It is armed with a 125mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader and stands out for its compact dimensions, armor with reactive elements and a low silhouette. It serves Russian and export users as the backbone of their armored units.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife, make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, or with two-part epoxy. Degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal surfaces; it is best to spray the paint with an airbrush so that the fine detail does not get flooded. Fill the gap between the photo-etched part and the plastic with filler.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The Meng TS-006 base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
