A resin figure from the original line of Alternity Miniatures, falling thematically into the post-apocalyptic and scouting register which the brand develops in a larger series. It is a collector's piece of its own, not a period military figure. The 1:35 scale makes it possible to combine it with models of equipment and to build a scene around it with rubble, vegetation and refuse.
Resin holds a sharper drawing than injected plastic, which tells on figures with layered clothing, bags and equipment. The parts come with casting blocks and a fine parting line left by the mold.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, as otherwise the remains of the mold release agent will stop the paint adhering. Cut the casting blocks away with a saw and sand the surfaces down wet and with protection of the airways. Assemble with a dry test, and only then glue with super glue and fill the gaps. After a thin primer begin with the face and the hands, as those decide whether the figure looks alive. On a post-apocalyptic subject an earthy, moderately saturated palette suits, as exaggerated colors quickly let this type of figure down. Distinguish the textiles in shades and in surface, make the leather and the rubber parts more matte and let them get dirty. Apply dust and mud from the bottom upwards and only as much as leaves the detail legible. Use pigments and filters to unify, and a wash into the folds will bring out the articulation. If the weapons are part of it, finish them with a discreet metallic rub on the edges.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
