A wall reinforced with sandbags, version 2 is a diorama element in 1:35 on its own. It serves as a vertical backdrop against which the composition of a whole scene can lean.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second of the numbered versions of the same subject. It brings a ready vertical surface, thanks to which a scene stops being flat and the viewer gets a clear point of reference. The modeler can then concentrate on paint, patina and the arrangement of figures.
With vertical elements, the side you look at the scene from is what decides. Set the model up dry and walk around it: the wall should work as a background from the main view and at the same time must not hide what matters. It has proved itself to seat it off the axis and leave an open area in front of it; the eye then travels from emptiness to detail and the scene gains depth even with a single model.
First degrease and apply a thin primer. Build the sacking from two or three close tones and shift the individual pieces slightly against one another, so that the wall does not look printed from a single mold. Draw the detail out with a dry brush pulled from the top down, as rain would have worn it. Let a thin wash into the joints between the bags and let it flow of its own accord. Keep the dust pigments at the foot of the wall, where dirt gathers the most, and blend them lightly away toward the top.
The element is supplied untreated, without paints and without figures; the final look of the scene is yours to make.
