American cans for fuel, the 1942 year for 1:35 scale: the equipment that practically every Allied column carried.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accessories for building vehicles and scenes in 1:35 scale. The name gives the American form of the container, the mark of the maker, the year 1942 and a quantity of twelve pieces. GasPatch models offers it.
The United States took over the proven shape of the portable container but adapted it in their own way. The most conspicuous difference is the closure: instead of a quick-release lever the American version carries a screw cap hidden under a hinged cover, to which a little chain tends to be attached. On the body the mark of the maker is molded together with the year, so collectors of real pieces date them at first glance to this day. It is exactly this detail that gave this item its name too.
Apply the base olive shade to all the pieces at once, before you separate them from one another, and you will save yourself a great deal of time. Only then distinguish the individual containers: some of them somewhat more faded, others fresher, or one with a knocked corner. Thin lettering is managed by a fine brush or by dry transfers. Apply dust only as the last step, so that it does not disappear under further coats, and concentrate it in the lower third of the containers and around the handles. Anyone who wants to go further will leave the hinged cover open on one container and suggest refueling in progress by that.
