Figures of a Panther tank crew in Waffen-SS dress in 1:35 scale from Evolution Miniatures. Resin castings for a diorama with armored vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure set in 1:35 scale that will complete a built model of the German Panther medium tank. It is an accessory for a model, not a kit of the vehicle. The castings of gray modeling resin are supplied unpainted and with casting blocks that have to be removed before building. The abbreviation in the name refers to the fact that the tank crewmen shown belonged to Waffen-SS units.
The set captures German tank crewmen from the second half of the Second World War. A characteristic element of their dress was the two-piece black or camouflaged tank uniform with a short jacket, as well as a field cap, a headset with a throat microphone and personal accessories such as a pistol holster or a pouch. The Panther tank for which the figures are intended was a medium tank with a 75 mm gun and sloping front armor, operated by a crew of five.
Before painting, wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw, finish the surface by sanding wet and protect your airways. Join with cyanoacrylate glue; on larger surfaces it helps to thicken the glue with a filler. Spray primer and only then paint. Do not paint the dark uniforms with pure black, but with a dark gray and gradual highlighting of the edges, otherwise the figure will merge in a photograph. Paint the camouflage patterns with a brush in layers from the base tone to the small patches, and build the face from a mid skin tone through the shadows to the lightest places.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
