Eduard 1:350 DKM Schleswig-Holstein 1935: a photo-etched detail set for a model of the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein in 1:350 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein in 1:350 scale, in the state corresponding to 1935. The photo-etched parts replace elements injection-molded plastic cannot capture: fine structures on the decks and superstructures give the model the airiness and the fidelity of scale that plastic on its own does not offer on ship models.
Schleswig-Holstein was a battleship of the Deutschland class completed in 1908, that is still to a pre-dreadnought design. After the First World War she stayed in the German Navy and in the 1930s served above all as a training ship. She entered history on September 1, 1939, when her shelling of the Polish military garrison at Westerplatte near Gdansk fired the first shots of the Second World War in Europe.
Ship photo-etched parts are extraordinarily fine: separate them with a fresh blade on a hard surface and keep them in a compartmented box. Fold the long parts in a bending tool and glue with the minimum of cyanoacrylate. Degrease everything before painting and spray a primer; leave fitting the finest parts until the end of the build.
This is an add-on photo-etched set: the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
