A set prepared for one particular kit, which you will find named with this product. According to the name it brings together a wooden deck, a masking sheet and photo-etched parts. The model itself is not part of the package; it is an accessory to a kit that has already been bought.
The etch is the part of the set that changes the overall impression most, and at the same time the most demanding one. Cut the parts out of the fret with sheet metal scissors or cut them off on a glass surface, and never break them out. Make the folds on a bending tool, or at least between two razor blades, so that a crisp edge arises and not a curve. They are glued with super glue applied with a pin, not straight from the bottle. Before gluing it pays to degrease the etch and spray it with a base coat, as bare brass holds paint badly.
Glue the veneer deck on at the very end, when the hull is sprayed and dry, otherwise you will damage it while masking. You will use the masking sheet on the areas the veneer does not cover. Painted photo-etched parts and a wooden deck complement each other, and a final uniform coat of matte clear over the whole model helps to bring them together.
The set is an accessory to a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
