A combined package of accessories from the manufacturer Artwox Model for a model of the German battleship Scharnhorst in the form matching 1941. According to the name the set contains a self-adhesive veneer deck with the planking printed on it, a masking sheet and photo-etched parts. It is cut for the Dragon 1036 kit, and on another version of the model the outlines do not fit.
The etch is the most delicate part of the whole set. Separate the parts on a hard flat surface with the tip of a knife or with a special chisel, not with cutters, as these bend the material before they cut through it. Make the folds in a bending tool or at least between two razor blades, always in one movement; repeated re-folding tires the metal and it cracks at the fold.
On photo-etched parts use super glue applied with a pin or a thin piece of wire, and never straight from the tube. Any excess runs across the veneer and leaves a matte stain that you will not get off again. Fit them only onto a finished, glued and if necessary varnished deck, as otherwise the veneer lifts under them. Lay small parts out on double-sided tape beforehand so that they do not fly off on you.
This is a set of accessories, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
