A set for a model of the battleship HMS Agamemnon in 1:350 scale: a wooden deck, a masking sheet and photo-etched parts for the Hobby Boss 86509 kit.

HMS Agamemnon belonged to the last British pair of battleships built to the older concept, which the dreadnoughts overtook immediately afterwards. She carried heavy artillery in turrets on the sides as well as on the centerline and with her tall superstructure she looked massive for her day. During the First World War she served in the Mediterranean and her name is connected with the operations in the Dardanelles.
The set brings three different parts together. The wooden deck is cut from thin veneer and replaces the deck from the parts of the kit with a faithful wood grain. The masking sheet makes it easier to finish the areas around the deck and other places where cutting tape by hand would hold things up. The photo-etched parts of thin metal sheet add railings and other features whose thickness plastic cannot manage. Everything is intended for the Hobby Boss kit number 86509 in 1:350 scale.
The deck is laid onto a cleaned and flat surface that has to be rid of dust and grease beforehand; the way of fixing it is given by the instructions from the manufacturer. The wood can be left in its natural shade or only lightly toned, as sanding it down would wipe the grain away. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, make the folds over the edge of a rule and glue them with super glue. Stick the masking sheet on before spraying and take it off as soon as the paint has set.
The set is for modelers who want to take a ship model beyond the kit. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
