Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Soviet nuclear submarine K-3 of the November class in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Zvezda. The model lets you build the characteristic hull of this historic submarine; the finished model measures about 30 cm.
K-3, which carried the name Leninsky Komsomol, was the very first Soviet submarine powered by a nuclear reactor. She was launched in 1957 and entered service in 1958. She went down in history as the first Soviet submarine to reach the North Pole and surface under the ice. She marked a significant step in the development of Cold War submarine technology.
The hull can be built as a whole; take care over a clean joint and cleaning up the parting line on the hull so that it does not show once varnished. Use thin cement on the plastic. The distinctive look of the submarine comes out after a primer, subtle shading and, if you like, weathering along the rivets and hatches. A suitable stand is worth having for display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
