Responsibility details are not available.
A set of complete, three-dimensional models of the Oerlikon anti-aircraft gun of 20 mm caliber in its US pattern, 1:350 scale, made by MASTER. It holds 20 pieces built up from turned metal and photo-etched parts – so these are not just barrels but whole weapons including the mount and the shield. The detail goes far beyond the simplified plastic parts from the box.
The Oerlikon of 20 mm caliber was one of the most widespread light anti-aircraft guns of the Second World War. In the US Navy it was fitted by the dozen to the decks of ships of every size – from destroyers to aircraft carriers – as close-in defense against aircraft.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret carefully and bend them along the scored lines; glue the turned barrels and parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The assembly calls for a steady hand and experience with tiny photo-etched parts. Apply a primer before painting.
The set serves as a turned replacement for parts of the base kit; on its own it is not a ship model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
