A plastic kit of the ORP Podhalanin in 1:350 scale from the Polish brand Mirage Hobby — a full-hull model of a Polish torpedo boat to be glued and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit captures the Polish torpedo boat ORP Podhalanin in 1:350 scale. The full-hull model from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby comes as a set of parts in gray injection-molded plastic to be glued and painted, together with a decal sheet for the markings of the ship. It is a smaller but finely detailed model suited to a shelf as well as a display case.
ORP Podhalanin was one of the torpedo boats that the Polish Navy took over after the First World War from the former German fleet (originally a vessel of the A-80 series). The small and handy craft carried a gun armament of 88 mm caliber and a torpedo armament, and in the interwar period it served on guard and coastal duty off the Polish coast. It is a less usual but interesting subject from the beginnings of the modern Polish fleet.
The hull is built as a whole and the fine detail of the deck, the funnels and the guns shows on it well. We recommend removing the flash from the joints and gluing with a thin cement for plastic, applying a base coat (primer) before the final color and spraying with an airbrush. Small items such as the railings can be picked out with extra photo-etched parts, which are not included in the package. The finished model looks good on a stand or as a vessel on the water.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
