Responsibility details are not available.
A set of shipboard signal searchlights of the US Navy twelve inches in diameter, made by direct 3D printing in resin in 1:350 scale. It is meant for detailing models of US Navy warships and tends to be completed by photo-etched elements for the supporting brackets and faces. The small printed searchlights have a sharp relief and thin walls, the kind that are hard to put together from plastic or photo-etch.
Searchlights of this type were fitted on ships on superstructures, masts and platforms and served for signaling and for searching. On a model in a small scale they are conspicuous points, where a coarse plastic substitute is spotted at once. The set suits being an accessory to a whole range of models of US Navy warships.
Separate the small parts carefully from the supporting fret, wash them free of release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Work under a magnifier and with fine tweezers. Once painted, the lenses can be brought out with a drop of gloss varnish for the impression of glass.
This is a detailing accessory, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
