1:350 USS Missouri BB-63 part 2 is an Eduard photo-etched set for a model of the American battleship. It is the second part of a multi-part series, not a stand-alone complete detailing set.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the ship but a photo-etched set that the Czech maker Eduard offers as an accessory for a model of the American battleship USS Missouri BB-63 in 1:350 scale. Photo-etched parts settle what injection-molded plastic cannot manage at this scale: railings, ladders, mesh, platforms and other thin-walled features that in reality are a few millimeters thick. Once the photo-etched parts are on, the silhouette of a model is refined at once and the superstructure stops looking coarse.
Eduard divides extensive ship sets into several separately sold parts. This item is part 2. Further parts of the same series exist for the same vessel and the same scale. If you want to cover the ship completely, reckon on the individual parts being ordered separately.
Photo-etched parts are broken out of the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, never with scissors, which bend them. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades, so that the edges are sharp and straight. They are bonded with super glue applied in the smallest amount, ideally with the tip of a wire. Degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer for metal, or the coat will flake off at the first touch. Fit the railings right at the end, once the deck is finished, and work from the stern forward, so that the parts already fitted are not in your way.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
