935 White

The color

This white paint from the Number 5 line carries its name from the car designated 935. The whole line is kept by cars, so a builder takes a tone straight from the real subject and does not have to put it together out of several bottles. The shade aims at car models and suits anywhere a clean white body surface is wanted.

White on a model

White is among the most demanding shades. It covers more slowly than dark colors, and it is therefore applied in thin coats several times over rather than once heavily. The ground affects it a great deal: white shows through over dark plastic, over a filled spot and over a sanded joint, and the surface stays blotchy. A light ground prevents that. Count also on a white surface showing every grain of dust and every hair that settles into a coat.

Painting tips

• Wash and degrease the parts before painting and let them dry thoroughly.
• Stir the paint thoroughly, as the pigment settles to the bottom of the bottle.
• Apply thin coats with a pause to dry, because it is the last one that decides the look.
• Stick masking tape onto perfectly cured paint, as it will tear a fresh coat away with it.
• Leave decals and gloss varnish until the surface is fully cured.

Terms of supply

The paint is supplied as described. The model, a primer, thinner, a top varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. For thinning, cleaning tools and drying time, go by the manufacturer's details on the packaging. Work in a ventilated room and store the bottle carefully closed out of the reach of children.
