On sports cars blue tends to be the color by which a model is recognized at first glance, and it is rarely easy to mix. A ready-made shade therefore saves not only time but, above all, the certainty that the second batch will be the same as the first. This tone is listed in the Number 5 range under the manufacturer's part number N5-C139 and takes its name from the car designated EB110.
Sand the surface smooth, wash it and degrease it, otherwise the paint will pull into beads and peel away under the masking tape. Stir the jar thoroughly and apply the paint in several thin coats with a short pause between them. Thin it with the thinner intended for this paint range; the thinning ratio and the airbrush pressure are given by the manufacturer in the instructions on the packaging. Work with an airbrush on large areas and leave the brush for small parts. Lay masking tape down only on a fully dried coat, as on fresh paint the edge of the overpaint will crumble.
Once you have taken paint out, wipe the rim of the jar and press the lid down so that it seats all the way around. Dried paint on the rim is the most common reason a jar will not close next time and the contents thicken. Store the jar dry, away from frost and away from heating, and stir it thoroughly again before the next use.
For builders of car models who want a ready-made shade for a given color scheme. This is the paint on its own; the thinner, clear varnish and spraying equipment are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
