A waterslide sheet of markings in 1:24 scale from the workshop of the Japanese company Studio27, prepared for the BMW Z4 kit from Fujimi. It brings the modeler the livery of the BMW Z4 GT3 that ran as number 30 at the endurance event at Monza in Italy in 2015. The model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
The Z4 GT3 is based on the E89 generation roadster, except that on the track little more than the silhouette was left of it. A fixed roof spanned the cabin, the nose was stretched, the fenders were widened and a naturally aspirated V8 from the marque's hottest road models moved under the hood. It was precisely the long nose and the low tail that made the Z4 one of the most striking silhouettes in the GT3 field. Monza, where car number 30 ran, is marked by long straights and hard braking points, so cars came there in the lowest aerodynamic configuration.
The stretched nose of the Z4 is one large rounded surface and the sponsor stripes run diagonally across it. Apply them from the top down and keep checking that they run parallel with the edge of the hood. At the ends, where the film meets the trailing edge, it is better to trim the motif with a scalpel than to pull it over a sharp corner.
