HMMWV M1036 with TOW, desert version in 1:35 scale is a set from the Kelik brand for rendering the interior of the vehicle from the Italeri kit in a light desert finish.

This set from the Kelik brand deals with the inside of the American HMMWV off-road vehicle in the M1036 version, that is the carrier of the TOW anti-tank system. It brings a rendering of the cab in finished colors, which is inserted into a built Italeri kit and takes the place of hand painting small panels. This set covers the desert form of the vehicle; Kelik also offers a variant in a green finish.
The inside of the Humvee is clearly visible from close up, because the vehicle tends to be built with the doors open or without the canvas. The instrument panel, the control panels, the levers and the surfaces of the seats are, however, so small in 1:35 scale that painting them by hand takes more time than all the rest of the build. The real M1036 carried the TOW system on the roof and served in American and allied use from the 1980s; the desert finish matches operations in dry regions.
First carefully free the surfaces on which the set is to be seated of dust and smooth them, so that no unevenness is left underneath. Work part by part and let each one settle before you start on the next; when working on a larger piece at once it is easy to shift the whole thing. Once dry it is worth unifying the surface with a matte varnish and adding shadows in the corners of the cab. Carefully bring out the details you want to emphasize with a thin brush.
