Stencils for painting a model of the Douglas twin-engine bomber in 1:48. They see to it that the glazing and other areas stay covered during spraying. The name lists the set as single-sided, which sets it apart from the other variant with the same purpose.
The Douglas Invader came about during the war as the A-26 and only reached the B-26 designation in 1948, when it was freed up by the withdrawn Marauder. The version with the letter C had a glazed nose with a station for the bombardier, while the B variant carried fixed gun armament in the nose. The power came from a pair of Pratt and Whitney radial engines, thanks to which the Invader was unusually fast for its category. A short takeoff run and the ability to carry a decent load made it a popular machine away from the main battlefields too.
The glazed nose is the biggest problem on this type: the frames are narrow and there are many of them, so hand masking takes more time than the spraying itself. Offer the stencils up only to polished and completely dry glazing, press them down from the center toward the edges and spray at right angles, not at an acute angle. Cover the remaining areas of the fuselage with paper or ordinary tape, so that the aerosol does not reach where it should not.
You are buying an aid for painting, not a box with plastic; the model is obtained separately.
