Decals with a relief surface intended for the pilot's compartment and the cargo cabin of the transport version of the Black Hawk. They are laid directly onto the parts of the Academy kit and save hours spent painting fine detail.
The UH-60L is an improved transport variant with more powerful engines and a modified drive. It serves for carrying a squad of soldiers, for casualty evacuation and for resupply, so its cabin tends to be mostly empty, with benches at the walls and wide sliding doors. It is precisely the open doors that are the reason why working out the inside of a model pays off, because seen from above practically all of it is visible. The floor, the side walls and the ceiling are examined from close up and smooth plastic painted roughly looks distracting there.
It proves worthwhile to work on the parts still before the cabin is assembled, while there is free access to the walls. Paint the ground with a dark color, place the decal with a moistened brush and press it down with a lint-free cloth. Allow thicker layers a longer time to settle and do not try to move them once dry, they would crack at a bend.
The set does not contain the helicopter; buy the basic model separately, as well as the paints for the surrounding parts.
