An injection-molded plastic kit of the American A-4E Skyhawk carrier-borne attack fighter in the form of the aggressor machines of the Navy fighter weapons school, popularly known as Top Gun, in 1:48 scale from the Japanese maker Hasegawa. The boxing offers decals for the strikingly finished aggressor Skyhawks used for air combat training.
The A-4 Skyhawk is a small single-engine carrier-borne attack fighter with a characteristic delta wing, which thanks to its small span does not fold on the deck of an aircraft carrier. The Skyhawk excelled in simplicity, maneuverability and low weight; in the aggressor version it served to practice air combat against genuinely flying opponents. It was precisely this role that made it famous beyond the circle of modelers.
Finish and paint the cockpit with the ejection seat before closing the fuselage. The clear canopy can be built open, so mask it and glue it after the finish is on. Fit the drop tanks and the additional armament at the end. Join the parts with a thin liquid cement for plastic, treat the surface with primer and apply the aggressor camouflage schemes with an airbrush in thin layers.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
