This is a resin aftermarket detail set, not an airplane model. It contains faithfully cast pitot tubes (air pressure probes) for models of the Soviet and Russian Su-27 Flanker fighter in 1:48 scale. The castings replace the often coarse or fragile plastic parts from the box.
The pitot tube on the nose is a thin, clearly visible feature that plastic can hardly render finely. A resin casting is crisper and more faithful. The set is intended for one specific aircraft type, so it is worth checking the fit before assembly.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with respiratory protection. A primer is a good base for painting.
This is an accessory for advanced modelers. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
