A detail set of the ACES II ejection seat for the F-16 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. The resin accessory replaces the simplified seat from a plastic kit with a faithfully detailed part with crisply rendered harness, handles and mechanisms.
The ACES II is an American ejection seat used in a range of modern combat aircraft, among them the F-16 fighter. It serves to save the pilot in an emergency and is a typical, striking feature of the cockpit interior.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The seat comes into its own once painted in base shades, with the harness picked out and a gentle wash applied.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
