The Aero L-29 Delfin double-sided express mask Art Scale 1:48 is a set of precisely pre-cut self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape from the Czech maker Art Scale. It contains neither a model nor paint: it serves for quick, clean masking of the canopy glazing and usually of the wheels as well during spraying. The double-sided version masks the outer and the inner face of the glazing, so the canopy frames can be painted from the visible side too.

The real subject

The Aero L-29 Delfin is a Czechoslovak jet trainer of the 1960s that became the standard basic trainer of the Warsaw Pact air forces. It is marked by a roomy two-seat cockpit with extensive glazing and a dependable structure. The long canopy with its several frames is one of the more laborious areas of the build, and this set makes it easier.
