This is a resin accessory for dioramas, vehicles and interiors, not a model. The set contains American ammunition boxes for the .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning machine gun in 1:48 scale. The parts are printed in resin on a 3D printer and faithfully capture the shape of the sheet metal boxes and their catches.
Ammunition boxes give a scene a sense of scale and conviction, whether you place them around a gun, on a vehicle bed or in a trench. They are among the universal accessories that bring American and Allied dioramas to life.
Before separating the parts from the print supports, dip them in hot water; the resin softens slightly and will not chip. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a filler primer before painting; bring the olive drab finish to life with a wash and a hint of rust.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
