Armory 1:48 B-24 Liberator wheels, type d tread pattern (RA) is a resin wheel set with a weighted tire effect that replaces the wheels from the box. According to the name, the package holds two types of nose wheel, a 3D-printed mudguard and photo-etched hubcaps.

This is an accessory wheel set, not a kit of the aircraft. Armory releases it in 1:48 scale for kits of the four-engine B-24 Liberator bomber. The name gives main wheels with the type d (RA) tread pattern, a pair of nose wheel variants, a 3D-printed mudguard and photo-etched hubcaps.
Resin holds finer engraving than injection-molded plastic, so the tread pattern and the lettering on the sidewall of the tire stay legible and the tread has no parting line. The key thing, though, is the weighted tire effect: the bottom of the tire is printed flattened the way the rubber sits under the weight of a loaded aircraft. The model therefore does not stand on perfectly round wheels, which shows at first glance on a large bomber. The photo-etched hubcaps close the center of the wheel with a thin metal part of a kind that cannot be cast in plastic.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was a heavy four-engine bomber with nose landing gear. Wheels for it were made by several suppliers and the tread patterns differed from one another, so the type of tire is one of the details by which a particular machine can be told apart. The manufacturer therefore offers the individual patterns separately and marks them in the name with a letter and an abbreviation.
Before you start, wash the parts in warm soapy water and let them dry, otherwise any uncured resin residue will keep the paint off. Cut the print supports off with a saw or a knife and level the area with a file and abrasive paper; sand wet or with respiratory protection, because resin dust is fine and should not be inhaled. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. Seat the wheel so that the flattened area sits on the base.
The set is an accessory, not a kit of the aircraft. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
