A resin detail set in 1:48 scale for sharpening the dorsal gun turret of the American twin-engine B-26 Marauder bomber. The set replaces and supplements the simplified plastic turret parts with a truer shape for the cover and for the mounting of the machine gun armament. It is an accessory for a matching plastic model, not a whole aircraft.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber used in the Second World War. The dorsal turret with its pair of heavy machine guns formed an important defensive firing position and was a prominent area of the upper fuselage. A faithful rendering of the glazed turret and the gun barrels therefore lifts the overall impression of a finished model noticeably.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks; protect your airways when sanding resin. They are bonded with super glue. Mask the glazing of the turret and spray it separately, paint the inner mechanism and the barrels apart from it and bring them out with a wash. Take care that the turret seats correctly in the opening in the fuselage.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
