Eduard 1:48 B-26K Invader is a set of pre-cut masking templates for the glazing of an Invader model in 1:48 scale. It is a masking set for the outer side, not the photo-etched set of the same name.

Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of a model of the twin-engined B-26K Invader attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. So that no confusion arises: this is a masking set for painting, not a collection of photo-etched parts — photo-etched sets for the same aircraft are separate, markedly more extensive items. In the same way, the variant designated TFace, which masks the inner side of the glazing as well, is a separate item.
Masking the intricate glazing of a twin-engined attack aircraft from a roll of masking tape means hours of measuring, cutting and correcting. Die-cut templates cut that step down to a few minutes and remove the main source of mistakes — frame edges of uneven width or with a wavy line. The result shows above all on the large clear areas, where the eye quickly picks out every irregularity.
Degrease the glazing before sticking the masks on and let it dry. Lay the templates with tweezers, press the edges down with a toothpick and spray thinly, so that no step arises at the edge. Cover the open areas of glazing between the templates with ordinary masking tape. Once the paint is dry to the touch, pull the mask off at a sharp angle — waiting for it to cure completely raises the risk that the paint will lift with the tape. A cotton bud with water will take off any remains of adhesive.
The masks are a consumable accessory for the model, not a kit. Neither the model nor paints are included in the package.
