Eduard 1:48 Beaufighter Mk. X LööK is a cockpit set for a Bristol Beaufighter Mk. X model in 1:48 scale — a colored resin instrument panel completed by pre-painted steel belts. It is not a kit.

The set from the Czech company Eduard deals with a single place on the model: the space behind the windscreen. It brings an instrument panel made of resin, that is a three-dimensional part with real depth to the dials and with a color finish from the factory, and steel pre-painted restraint belts with it. It is not a complete fit-out of the interior nor an accessory for the exterior surfaces — it goes onto the model exactly where the viewer's eye looks first, and nowhere else.
The Mk. X version was the strike form of the twin-engined Bristol Beaufighter intended for operations over the sea, with Bristol Hercules engines tuned for low flight levels. Details of the installations on the fuselage set it apart visually from the earlier versions. The pilot's cockpit lies ahead of the wing under large glazing and is clearly visible on a model, so a three-dimensional panel works markedly harder than a flat plastic one.
Wash the resin part in warm water with detergent so that it will hold primer, and cut the casting block off with a saw. Remove the original plastic panel in such a way that the replacement sits at the right height — check that dry before you apply any glue, because once the fuselage is closed nothing can be put right. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Do not lacquer over the colored surface; at most brush matte varnish over the dials if you want to even the sheen of the surroundings out.
It is an accessory, not a model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. Eduard makes sets for more versions of the Beaufighter and in several extents; they are told apart by the exact designation of the range and the version.
