This resin set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings 3D-printed main landing gear bays in the variant with rounded edges, as they appeared on some Messerschmitt Bf-109F airframes. It is an aftermarket accessory for models in 1:48 scale, not a standalone airplane model.
The landing gear bays replace the corresponding areas of the base kit and bring an accurate rendering of the internal structure, of the stiffeners and of the runs that are clearly visible once the gear doors are open. Direct 3D printing allows sharp edges and fine detail. The rounded variant chosen here matches one particular airframe standard.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut off the supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Fitting usually calls for reworking the surrounding plastic, so count on a dry test fit. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the inside of the bays to the period scheme and bring it out with a wash.
The set does not contain an airplane model, paints or glue. It serves as an accessory to a plastic kit.
