Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Dingo Mk.II armored scout car in 1:48 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya, from its military miniature series. The compact model stands out with its clean, flat armor panels and an exact rendering of the running gear. The roof can be built in the open or the closed position and two crew figures in action poses are included in the box.
The Daimler Dingo was a small British armored scout car that made its name through its outstanding agility and armor of up to around 30 mm on a compact hull. The Mk.I version began to be delivered in 1939, and the later Mk.II brought among other things a change to the steering. By 1945 over six thousand of these vehicles had been built, serving for reconnaissance and as liaison and command cars. Thanks to its low silhouette and its speed, the Dingo was a favorite pair of eyes for British units.
Join the parts with thin plastic (polystyrene) cement, which flows into the seams by capillary action. It pays to apply a primer before painting; both an airbrush and a brush serve well for the British khaki shades and for painting the figures. The flat panels take a wash into the pressings and drybrushing on the edges rewardingly, and you can then bring out the fenders and the underside with pigments for a mud and dust effect.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
