It is not a kit: it is the reference by which you paint and mark an already built model of the Bücker Bu 131 training biplane. The name describes it as a book, and decals are part of the set — the extent of the package, that is whether it is the sheet alone or a sheet accompanied by a printed booklet, is stated on the box.
The Bücker Bu 131 was a two-seat training biplane of the 1930s with mixed construction and an inline engine. It was among the most widespread training machines of its day, was built under license in several countries and a number of examples still fly at air shows today. For modelers it is interesting precisely for the breadth of its finishes: the same airframe wore training schemes of various operators, postwar civil registrations and the colorful paint of aircraft kept in airworthy condition.
Varnish the surface under the decals with a gloss clear coat, otherwise silvering will result. Cut the decal out closely, soak it briefly in lukewarm water and let it release on a paper surface. On a biplane expect the decals often to be laid over the ribs of the fabric covering — a softener and gentle pressure with a cotton swab will help. Wipe the excess adhesive off with a damp cloth once dry and unify the surface with a varnish in the degree of gloss you want, usually matte on fabric covering.
