The casting is small, but it is exactly such elements that set a model built straight from the box apart from one completed to match a particular machine. It is not an aircraft kit but a standalone detail.
The Tiger Moth was used as an elementary trainer and, after the war, widely in civilian hands as well, in flying clubs and for towing. Operators adapted the machines to their needs, and a box for small luggage and tools is among the practical additions that appear on aircraft used in this way. For a modeler that means the appearance of a particular machine can be traced from photographs, and that is exactly where it is proper to check whether and where the box belongs.
Separate small castings from the casting block only when you really need them, or they are easily lost. Cut with a fine-toothed saw over a light-colored surface and level the cut with a file. Degrease, apply a primer and only then paint; on such a small part a thin coat is enough. It is bonded with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin, not straight from the bottle. Mark the position in pencil beforehand and test the fit dry. At the end a light wash along the edges and a fine rub help, so that the box does not look like a freshly varnished little crate.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
