The double-sided masking set Dornier Do 335A Pfeil 1:48. The masks are stuck onto the outer and the inner side of the clear part, so that the canopy frame does not stay translucent from the inside. The target kit is Tamiya's.

This is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The set contains masking templates for the glazing of the single-seat Dornier Do 335A in 1:48 scale, and in a double-sided form: besides the outer shapes you also get their inner counterparts. The canopy frame can thus be sprayed from the inside as well, and the finished canopy has no transparent frames when looked into. The cut is calculated for the Tamiya kit.
When the frame is painted only from the outside, bare clear plastic shows through from the inside. On a model built with an open canopy or with a detailed interior that is immediately visible. The inner masks make it possible to apply the interior shade to the frame from the other side while the glass stays perfectly transparent.
Wash and degrease the clear part. First stick the inner shapes down, spray the interior shade and let it dry, and only then add the outer masks and apply the outer color. Always work in thin coats and press the edges down properly. Once the paint has set, lift the masks off with tweezers at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
