The F-100D Super Sabre canopy mask from outside and inside covers the cockpit frames from both sides and suits a hinged canopy above all. Intended for the Monogram or Revell kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The double-sided form adds pieces for the inner surface of the canopy to the outer stencils. The frame is then not merely painted from outside: seen from the side into the cockpit it has the right color and clear plastic shows through nowhere. On a model with an open canopy that is a difference anyone will notice. The target kits are Monogram or Revell.
The F-100D carried bombs, unguided rockets and guided missiles and became the workhorse of the tactical air force. Compared with the earlier versions it received an autopilot, an enlarged vertical tail and landing flaps. It flew not only in the United States but also with the air forces of France, Denmark, Turkey and Taiwan, and part of the fleet finished its service with the National Guard. Characteristic of it is the long slender fuselage, into which the armament fitted only with difficulty, and so most of the load hung on pylons under the wing.
Start with the inside, while the clear part is free and can be turned in the hand. After spraying, set it face up on a soft pad so that the fresh paint does not meet dust. Fit the outer stencils only once it has dried completely, otherwise the inner coat is pressed in when you push them down. Before you seat the canopy on the fuselage, check against the light whether the frame is covered along its whole width and shows through nowhere. Glue residue on an edge can no longer be sprayed over.
