A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand for the plastic kit of the McDonnell F-101 Voodoo in 1:48 scale. This is not a model but a replacement pitot tube, the slender airspeed sensor, whose casting is finer and more faithful than the plastic part from the kit.
The F-101 Voodoo was an American twin-engine supersonic fighter of the Cold War era. The pitot tube is a small but exposed detail that tends to be coarse in plastic; a precise casting improves the overall impression of the nose.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, carefully separate it from the casting block and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Handle thin parts gently so that they do not break. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
