It is NOT an aircraft model but an accessory: faithful fold-out boarding steps in the fuselage for models of the Grumman F-14A/B/D Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It lets you show a machine with the steps extended, as on the deck.
The F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier interceptor of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing. The built-in fold-out steps let the crew climb aboard without a ground boarding ladder, which is why modelers like to show them in the open position.
Wash the parts, cut the casting gates off and bend the fine photo-etched parts to match the subject. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. Paint the steps to suit the particular machine, usually in the fuselage color with contrasting edges. Sand resin with your airways protected.
This is an accessory set, not an aircraft model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
